Regular Season Round 11: Koblenz - Dresden 85-71

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Titans (8-1) on the court of second ranked Koblenz on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Koblenz 85-71. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Titans. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in South. Koblenz shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. It was a great evening for forward Brian Butler (196-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!) (perfect behind the arc making all seven shots !!!). American guard Shembari Phillips (190-97, college: Georgia Tech) helped adding 20 points. Naturalized American Grant Teichmann (191-96, college: C-N) responded with 28 points and Canadian Tanner Graham (200-96, college: Queen's) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Newly promoted Koblenz maintains second place in South with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader Muenster. Titans at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. Koblenz will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Titans will play at home against Speyer and are hoping to win this game.
