Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Kangaroos (6-3) defeated on the road 8th ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (3-6) 86-79 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was French-Guinean Tidjan Keita (207-96) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Croatian point guard Toni Prostran (183-91) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists. Four Kangaroos players scored in double figures. Kangaroos' coach Dennis Shirvan used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Nicolas Buchholz (200-1) produced 31 points and 4 assists and center Mark Mboya Kotieno (206-0) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Kangaroos maintains fifth place in North with 6-3 record. Newly promoted Dragons Rhoendorf keeps the eighth position with six games lost. Kangaroos will meet at home higher ranked TKS 49ers (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Dragons Rhoendorf will play against Schwelm (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
