No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Rendsburg (6-6) defeated at home 12th ranked SG Braunschweig (3-9) 75-68 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Devaughn Mallory (201-97, college: Jefferson) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Henning Rixen (196-99) who added 18 points during the contest. Four Rendsburg players scored in double figures. Rendsburg's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Sananda Fru (208-3) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Damjan Milutinovic (183-0) scored 25 points. Rendsburg have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place in North. Newly promoted SG Braunschweig keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Bergedorf. Rendsburg will meet Wolfenbuettel (#14) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. SG Braunschweig will play against WSG Koenigs and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
