Eighteenth-ranked EWE Baskets (2-8) gave a tough game to second ranked Telekom Baskets (7-2) in Bonn on Saturday. Telekom Baskets managed to secure only two-point victory 78-76. However their fans expected much easier game. American point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright (176-95, college: Arizona) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard Jeremy Morgan (196-95, college: UNI) chipped in 17 points. The best for the losing side was American Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri) with 25 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Chilean swingman Sebastian Herrera (193-97) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. EWE Baskets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Telekom Baskets have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 7-2 record behind leader Bayern. EWE Baskets at the other side stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Telekom Baskets are looking forward to face MLP Academics Heidelberg (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. EWE Baskets will play against Brose Bamberg (#10) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
