Regular Season Round 18: Gargzdu - Kretinga 72-66

NKL top team - Gargzdu (15-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eleventh ranked Kretinga (5-12) in Gargzdai 72-66. Gargzdu players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Center Simas Galdikas (203-87) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Mantas Ruikis (197-85) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Rytis Zabita (200-94) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Rokas Simkevicius (189-90) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Gargzdu maintains first position with 15-3 record. Kretinga lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Gargzdu will play against league's second-placed Suduva-Mantinga in Marijampole in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kretinga will play on the road against Vytis (#10) in Sakiai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
