Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Bergedorf (3-9) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Neustadt TSV (7-5) 83-71 on Saturday. Neustadt TSV dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Bergedorf's 28. Worth to mention a great performance of Dutch point guard Dyon Doekhi (188-87) who helped to win the game recording 32 points (on 12-of-13 shooting from the field) and American-Jamaican center Brandon McLean (201-95, college: Huntingdon) who added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Croatian Matej Jelovcic (185-98) with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and Aleksandar Postic (195-0) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Neustadt TSV have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Stade. Bergedorf lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Braunschweig. Neustadt TSV will meet higher ranked Vechta-2 (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Bergedorf will play against the league's second-placed Aschersleben (#2) and hope to secure a win.
