An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Istanbul. Top-ranked Emlak faced 4th ranked Edremit. Host Emlak (10-0) defeated guests from Balikesir (7-3) 85-71. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Edremit. Emlak dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Edremit's 42. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Sasha Goodlett (195-90, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 rebounds. Nihal Gungor (-90) contributed with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Emlak players scored in double figures. Emlak's coach Murat Alkas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Mikayla Cowling (188-96, college: California, agency: LBM Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and center Kubra Dicle (187-92) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Edremit. Emlak have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Newly promoted Edremit keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Emlak will play against league's second-placed Botas GA in Ankara in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Edremit will play on the road against Bodrum in Mugla and hopes to get back on the winning track.
