There was an upset when higher ranked Speyer (5-5) was edged at home by eleventh ranked Coburg (2-6) 70-67 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American forward Princeton Onwas (198-93, college: SJSU) who scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Christopher Wolf (200-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Coburg's coach Valentino Lott used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American DJ Woodmore (190-92, college: VWU) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and Michael Marte (201-92) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Coburg moved-up to tenth place in South. Loser Speyer dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Coburg will meet at home higher ranked Skyliners II (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Speyer will play against the league's leader Titans and will have a slim chance for a victory.
