Regular Season Round 8: SKM II - RasKKSC 65-52

The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked SKM II's (3-5) home victory over bottom-ranked RasKKSC (1-6) in Vilniaus 65-52 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 65-52. SKM II dominated on the defensive end, holding RasKKSC to just 7 points in second quarter. The winners were led by swingman Mantas Janciauskas (193-4) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Eimantas Liskauskas (183-4) supported him with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. SKM II's coach Rokas Kasparavicius used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds by guard Rytis Sinickas (203-4) did not help to save the game for RasKKSC. Swingman Nojus Vaivada (192-4) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SKM II moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Panevezio. Loser RasKKSC dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. They share it with KKM I. SKM II will meet higher ranked Tornado KM (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. RasKKSC will play against SKM I (#3) and hope to win that game.
