Regular Season Round 10: Constanta - Arad 55-63

Leader Arad delivered the ninth victory on Monday night. This time they beat 8th ranked Constanta (3-6) 63-55. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Constanta won third quarter 15-5. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Arad won last quarter 14-8. Serbian guard Brankica Hadzovic (175-81) scored 20 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Andreona Keys (178-95, college: Purdue) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Keys is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. At the losing side American guard Jade Vega (165-97, college: CS Fullerton) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and her fellow American import forward Ciara Rosten (188-96, college: Edinboro) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Constanta players scored in double figures. Arad (9-1) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Constanta lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with Targoviste. Arad will meet at home Targu Mures (#5) in the next round. Constanta will play against Alexandria and hope to secure a win.
