Rather predictable result when fifth ranked Turk Telekom (5-4) rolled over 9th ranked Yalovaspor (2-7) in Ankara 88-67 on Thursday. Turk Telekom outrebounded Yalovaspor 51-25 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Forward Mevlut Dogan (201-3) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Ahmet Gunes (-4) accounted for 15 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Yunus Severoglu (-3) came up with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Demir Fertelli (-4) added 8 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals respectively for Yalovaspor in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Turk Telekom maintains fifth place in League with 5-4 record. Newly promoted Yalovaspor keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Turk Telekom will meet higher ranked Galatasaray (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yalovaspor will play against Fenerbahce (#3) in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
