The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Kretinga's (5-13) road loss to tenth ranked Vytis (8-11) 60-107 on Thursday. Vytis shot 63.5 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Vytis looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kretinga's players. Aurelijus Pukelis (205-94) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Redas Jakubauskas (193-99) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Vytis players scored in double figures. Eimantas Zilius (201-99) produced 14 points and point guard Rokas Simkevicius (189-90) added 11 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vytis moved-up to ninth place. Kretinga lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Vytis will meet higher ranked Silute (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kretinga will play against Vilnius and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
