Rather predictable result when eleventh ranked TV Langen (4-7) beat at home 14th ranked Bensheim (2-8) 92-86 on Saturday. Strangely Bensheim outrebounded TV Langen 41-25 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Bensheim's players. Guard Sebastian Barth (193-85) stepped up and scored 31 points and 4 assists for the winners and forward Sven Schaefer (195-93) chipped in 26 points. At the losing side Eric Curth (193-92) responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Philip Jenkins (188-90, college: Life) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. TV Langen moved-up to ninth place in South West, which they share with Limburg and Kaiserslautern. Newly promoted Bensheim keeps the fourteenth position with eight games lost. TV Langen will meet Limburg (#10) on the road in the next round. Bensheim will play against the league's leader Idstein (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
