We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Silute (8-11) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Vytis (9-11) 80-76. Paulius Beliavicius (196-88) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points. Aurelijus Pukelis (205-94) contributed with 9 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Vytis' coach Erikas Kuciauskas allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American Delante Jones (194-95, college: Seattle) replied with 24 points and 4 steals and Tomas Balciunas (204-0) added 14 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Silute. Vytis moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Palanga. Silute lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Mazeikiai. Vytis will play against Vilnius (#11) at home in the next round. Silute will play against Neptunas-Akv. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
