There was no surprise when 12th ranked Delikatesas (5-15) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Mazeikiai (8-11) 76-67. The former international Mindaugas Motuzas (202-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds. French forward Moussa Mayaki (200-99) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Mazeikiai's coach Mindaugas Janiska allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American Darion Rackley (187-92, college: JSU) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and his fellow American import Donnell Cegers (197-93, college: NMU) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Delikatesas. Four Mazeikiai and five Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Mazeikiai moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Silute. Delikatesas lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Mazeikiai will play against league's second-placed Telsiai in Telsiu in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Delikatesas will play at home against Kretinga (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
