Regular Season Round 13: Tuebingen - Art.Dragons 99-94
Date: December 11, 2021
Very expected game when 12th ranked Artland Dragons (4-7) lost to third ranked Tigers (9-3) in Tuebingen 94-99 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Tigers made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-99) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and American forward Ryan Mikesell (201-96, college: Dayton) accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds. Five Tigers players scored in double figures. Czech center Adam Pechacek (206-95) came up with 35 points (!!!) and naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (195-1) added 19 points respectively for Artland Dragons in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Tigers maintains third place with 9-3 record behind leader Jena. Artland Dragons at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Tigers will meet Phoenix Hagen (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Artland Dragons will play against Rasta Vechta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
