The game in Bucuresti was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Craiova (7-4) played at the court of seventh ranked Steaua B. (6-4). Steaua B. managed to secure a 7-point victory 97-90 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Craiova. Craiova was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Steaua B. shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian forward Zarko Djuric (198-89) who led the winners and scored 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard KJ Jackson (188-98, college: UMBC, agency: Players Group) accounted for 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. American guard Michael Qualls (197-94, college: Arkansas, agency: Inception Sports) came up with 23 points and 6 assists and the other American import guard Troy Franklin (183-89, college: Coppin St.) added 18 points and 11 assists respectively for Craiova in the defeat. Five Steaua B. and four Craiova players scored in double figures. Craiova's coach Michalis Kakiouzis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Steaua B. moved-up to sixth place. Loser Craiova keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Steaua B. will meet league's second-placed Oradea on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Craiova will play against Timisoara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
