Eleventh-ranked Prienai CBet (0-11) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Zalgiris (11-1) on Sunday. The visitors from Kaunas managed to secure only three-point victory 81-78. However their fans expected much easier game. Zalgiris looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American power forward Josh Nebo (206-97, college: Texas A&M) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. The former international Edgaras Ulanovas (199-92) contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Zalgiris players scored in double figures. American forward Juwan Durham (211-97, college: Notre Dame) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and Montenegrin swingman Jovan Kljajic (198-1) added 20 points in the effort for Prienai CBet. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Zalgiris have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Prienai CBet at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Zalgiris are looking forward to face Dzukija (#6) in Alytus in the next round where they are favorite. Prienai CBet will play at home against Juventus (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
