Rather expected game when 3rd placed Budivelnyk (12-4) lost to first ranked Prometey (15-1) in Kamianske 76-87 on Sunday. The game without a history. Prometey led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 27-of-31 free shots (87.1 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Ariel Atkins (173-96, college: Texas) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Joyner Holmes (190-98, college: Texas) accounted for 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Five Prometey players scored in double figures. Center Kelley Cain (198-89, college: Tennessee) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 21 rebounds and point guard Arella Guirantes (180-97, college: Rutgers) added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Budivelnyk in the defeat. Prometey have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 15-1 record. Newly promoted Budivelnyk keeps the third position with four games lost. Prometey will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Budivelnyk will play against Rivne and hope to secure a win.
