Regular Season Round 9: RasKKSC - SKM I 76-80

Very expected game in Klaipeda where 12th ranked RasKKSC (1-7) was defeated by third ranked SKM I (6-2) 80-76. It looked good early as RasKKSC took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then SKM I had a 25-17 second period charge getting the lead and RasKKSC was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-80. Forward Matas Klimantavicius (201-4) nailed 17 points for the winning side and point guard Jokubas Fominas (178-4) accounted for 12 points and 5 assists. SKM I's coach Algirdas Milonas used entire bench in such tough game. Swingman Nojus Vaivada (192-4) came up with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Rytis Sinickas (203-4) added 20 points and 10 rebounds respectively for RasKKSC in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SKM I maintains third place with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader VKKM. RasKKSC at the other side stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with KKM I. SKM I will play against Tornado KM (#6) in Kaunas in the next round. RasKKSC will play on the road against ASRC (#4) in Alytus to get more than just one victory in their record.
