Regular Season Round 11: Svendborg - Horsens IC 105-96

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Horsens IC (5-5) was defeated on the road by second ranked Svendborg (9-1) 105-96 on Wednesday. Svendborg looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for international guard Sebastian Aris (191-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Bahamas Aaron Levarity (203-97, college: Milligan) helped adding 17 points and 12 rebounds. Svendborg's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Andy Cleaves II (188, college: CS Stanislaus) responded with 32 points and 4 assists and the other American import guard Khalil Ahmad (191-96, college: CS Fullerton, agency: Slash Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. Five Svendborg and four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Svendborg. They maintain second place with 9-1 record having just one point less than leader Bakken. Loser Horsens IC keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Svendborg will meet at home Copenhagen (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Horsens IC will play against Naestved and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
