Regular Season Round 10: Amager - Falcon 61-62

The most exciting game of round 10 in the Dameligaen took place in Kastrup. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Amager (5-3) to top-ranked Falcon (7-0) 62-61 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Amager. Amager trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 19-9 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 61-62 at the end of the game. Falcon looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International power forward Emilie Hesseldal (185-90, college: Colorado St.) had a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 20 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international point guard Gritt Ryder (175-92, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American swingman Teja Twitty (178, college: UNCG) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Ena Viso (177-93, college: S.Dakota St.) scored 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Amager's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Falcon have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Newly promoted Falcon maintains first position with 7-0 record. Amager at the other side keeps the second place with three games lost. Falcon are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Aabyhoj (#5) at home in the next round. Amager will play against Herlev and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
