Regular Season Round 14: Paderborn - Nuernberg 82-88

The most shocking disappointment of round 14 in the ProA was a home defeat of 6th ranked Uni Baskets (7-6) to seventh ranked Falcons (8-5) 88-82. It was a great shooting night for Falcons especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 69.2 percentage. Center Jonathan Maier (211-92) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman AJ Davis (206-95, college: UCF) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. American point guard Jordan Barnes (179-97, college: Indiana St.) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import forward Chavares Flanigan (198-96, college: UW-Parkside) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 assists and 4 steals. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Uni Baskets' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Falcons have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bayer Giants. Uni Baskets at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Trier. Falcons is looking forward to face Kirchheim Knights (#6) at home in the next round. Uni Baskets will play against Artland Dragons in Quakenbrueck and are hoping to win this game.
