Very expected game when 9th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (6-6) was defeated at home by second ranked Seawolves (11-2) 95-84. They made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Seawolves players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American swingman Nijal Pearson (196-97, college: Texas St.) notched 18 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import guard Tyler Nelson (190-95, college: Fairfield) supported him with 18 points and 4 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Seawolves' coach Christian Held allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds by Kevin Yebo (207-96) did not help to save the game for Eisbaeren Bremerhaven. American guard Ethan Alvano (185, college: CSUSM) added 11 points and 10 assists for the hosts. Four Eisbaeren Bremerhaven players scored in double figures. Seawolves have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-2 record having just one point less than leader Jena. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven at the other side keeps the ninth place with six games lost. They share the position with Schwenningen and Karlsruhe PS. Seawolves will play against league's leader Science City Jena at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will play against Eagles (#16) in Itzehoe and hopes to get back on the winning track.
