Giedrius Staniulis (206-91) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard Jon Elmore (190-95, college: Marshall) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for Siauliai in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rytas have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-1 record behind leader Zalgiris. Siauliai at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. They share it with Lietkabelis and Juventus. Rytas will play against P.Zvaigzdes (#10) in Pasvalys in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Siauliai will have a break next round.
