Very predictable result when fourth ranked UBSC Graz (6-3) won against at home 9th ranked Timberwolves (2-7) 87-70. The game without a history. UBSC Graz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Timberwolves' 30. American forward Lesley Varner Jr (201-98, college: UTRGV) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import guard Randy Haynes (193-95, college: ODU) chipped in 23 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Four UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Slovenian center Ziga Fifolt (210-93) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and international guard Jakob Szkutta (188-99) scored 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. UBSC Graz moved-up to third place. Timberwolves at the other side keep the ninth position with seven games lost. UBSC Graz will play against league's second-placed UBC St. Poelten in St.Poelten in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Timberwolves' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Vienna BC Vienna.
