Regular Season Round 10: SKM I - Tornado KM 93-84

No shocking result in a game in Vilniaus where third ranked SKM I (8-2) defeated 6th ranked Tornado KM (5-5) 93-84 on Sunday. Tornado KM trailed by 17 points after 3 quarters before a 28-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 84-93 at the end of the game. SKM I forced 21 Tornado KM turnovers. Point guard Dastinas Morkunas (190-4) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and forward Matas Klimantavicius (201-4) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. SKM I's coach Algirdas Milonas used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side point guard Zilvinas Rusys (170-4) responded with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Sarunas Morkevicius (181-4) scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five SKM I and four Tornado KM players scored in double figures. SKM I have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-2 record behind leader VKKM. SKM I will meet Saule (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Tornado KM will play against ASRC (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
