10th ranked Bayreuth (5-6) was outscored at home by second ranked Telekom Baskets (10-2) with the biggest margin this round 96-71. Telekom Baskets forced 20 Bayreuth turnovers and outrebounded them 36-21 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American guard Jeremy Morgan (196-95, college: UNI) who scored that evening 23 points and the other American import guard Skyler Bowlin (190-89, college: MSSU) supported him with 19 points. Four Telekom Baskets players scored in double figures. Telekom Baskets' coach Tuomas Iisalo felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 27 points by American swingman Sacar Anim (196-97, college: Marquette) did not help to save the game for Bayreuth. Lithuanian center Martynas Sajus (208-96) added 14 points. Telekom Baskets have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bayern. Bayreuth at the other side keeps the tenth place with six games lost. Telekom Baskets will play against MBC (#13) in Weissenfels in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Bayreuth will play at home against ALBA Berlin and hopes to get back on the winning track.
