Regular Season Round 14: Darussafaka - Besiktas 76-73

The most exciting game of round 14 in the BSL took place in Istanbul. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Besiktas (7-7) to fourth ranked Dacka (9-4) 76-73 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Besiktas. Dacka forced 19 Besiktas turnovers. International point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. British center Gabriel Olaseni (211-91, college: Iowa) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Dacka players scored in double figures. Dacka's coach Selcuk Ernak used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international guard Kenan Sipahi (197-95, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 20 points and 9 assists and American guard Isaiah Whitehead (191-95, college: Seton Hall) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for Besiktas. Dacka moved-up to third place, which they share with Pinar Karsiyaka. Besiktas at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Tofas. Dacka is looking forward to face Pinar Karsiyaka (#4) on the road in the next round. Besiktas will play against Socar Petkim (#16) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
