Regular Season Round 14: Turk Telekom - Fenerbahce 63-72

BSL top team - Fenerbahce (13-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Turk Telekom (5-9) in Ankara 72-63. Fenerbahce looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Canadian forward Dyshawn Pierre (198-93, college: Dayton, agency: BeoBasket) notched 8 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Italian power forward Achille Polonara (202-91) supported him with 16 points. Even 19 points by American swingman Aubrey Dawkins (198-95, college: UCF, agency: Network Sports International) did not help to save the game for Turk Telekom. His fellow American import JaJuan Johnson (208-89, college: Purdue) added 14 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Loser Turk Telekom keeps the eleventh place with nine games lost. They share the position with Merkezefendi. Fenerbahce will meet at home Buyukcekmece (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Turk Telekom will play against Galatasaray in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
