There was an upset in Ankara where higher ranked Turk Telekom (5-6) was edged by ninth ranked Petkim Spor (3-8) 82-81 on Saturday. Petkim Spor looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Gokay Hacioglu (-2) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks. Forward Akkan Atasoy (196-3) helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Batuhan Acar (179-2) responded with 26 points and 9 rebounds and Ahmet Gunes (-4) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Turk Telekom's coach Cemil Can Madenci rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Petkim Spor maintains ninth place in League with 3-8 record. Loser Turk Telekom keeps the fifth position with six games lost. Petkim Spor will meet at home Yalovaspor (#10) in the next round. Turk Telekom will play against the league's leader Anadolu Efes (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
