Bottom-ranked Samsun (0-14) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 100-44 loss to twelfth ranked Tarsus (6-8) in Mersin on Saturday evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Samsun's 24. They outrebounded Samsun 50-33 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tarsus looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Samsun's players. Tarsus moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Uludag. Loser Samsun still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Tarsus will meet league's second-placed Botas GA in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Samsun will play against Urla (#12) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
