Very expected game when 12th ranked Yalova (4-10) was smashed by eighth ranked Acibadem (8-7) in Istanbul 102-79 on Sunday. Acibadem shot 62.9 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. American Sam Dekker (204-94, college: Wisconsin) notched 19 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) to lead the effort and the other American import guard Jamar Smith (191-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: Inception Sports) supported him with 16 points and 8 assists. Acibadem's coach Erhan Ernak felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 16 points and 10 assists by Slovenian point guard Luka Rupnik (186-93) did not help to save the game for Yalova. Center Muhammed Senli (205-92) added 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Acibadem have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Yalova lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. Acibadem will meet Merkezefendi (#12) in the next round where they are favorite. Yalova will play against the league's second-placed Efes and will have a slim chance for a victory.
