No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Falcons (9-6) edged on the road 11th ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (6-8) 83-80 on Sunday. Strangely Eisbaeren Bremerhaven outrebounded Falcons 37-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Evan Taylor (196-96, college: Nebraska) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Cameroonian Roland Nyama (198-93, college: Stony Brook) who added 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side American guard Carrington Love (185-94, college: Green Bay) responded with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized American forward Jarelle Reischel (200-92, college: EKU) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Falcons and five Eisbaeren Bremerhaven players scored in double figures. Falcons moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kirchheim and Bayer Giants. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with eight games lost. Falcons will meet at home Schwenningen (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will play against Leverkusen and hope to secure a win.
