The game with biggest result difference took place in Bayreuth. Local Bayreuth (5-7) was outscored by sixth ranked ALBA Berlin (8-4) 109-79 on Monday night. ALBA Berlin dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Bayreuth's 28 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Bayreuth lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Braunschweig. ALBA Berlin will meet at home s Oliver Baskets (#15) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Bayreuth will play against EWE Baskets (#18) and hope to secure a win.
