We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Bochum where 14th ranked Artland Dragons (5-10) were defeated by fifteenth ranked SparkassenStars (6-10) 91-76 on Wednesday. SparkassenStars looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Dominic Green (198-97, college: Washington) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and guard Tony Hicks (186-94, college: Louisville, agency: GoEmpire Group) who added 20 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Demetrius Ward (188-90, college: W.Michigan) responded with 13 points and 5 assists and Chase Griffin (190-83, college: Pepperdine) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. SparkassenStars moved-up to fourteenth place. Loser Artland Dragons dropped to the fifteenth position with ten games lost. SparkassenStars will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Artland Dragons will play against Lions (#7) and hope to secure a win.
