Regular Season Round 12: Bakken - Amager 116-82

BasketLigaen top team - Bakken (11-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Amager (0-12) in Aarhus 116-82. Bakken forced 20 Amager turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including 28 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 36 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by Amager's players. Bakken brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a quality performance of American center Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier, agency: Slash Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Jamaican-Canadian point guard Jarred Ogungbemi-Jackson (178-91, college: Calgary) who added 13 points and 7 assists during the contest. Five Bakken players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Andreas Meilby (200-92) with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Mitch Pelissier (190-97, college: Concordia, IL) scored 17 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 11-0 record. Amager at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Bakken's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Aarhus BAC.
