The game in Kapfenberg was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Gunners Oberwart (7-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (4-6). Gunners Oberwart defeated Kapfenberg Bulls 91-81 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Gunners Oberwart. Kapfenberg Bulls managed to win fourth quarter 26-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gunners Oberwart looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for guard Jonathan Knessl (190-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Gunners Oberwart moved-up to third place, which they share with Gmunden and UBSC Graz. Loser Kapfenberg Bulls keep the sixth position with six games lost. Gunners Oberwart will meet at home UBSC Graz (#5) in the next round. Kapfenberg Bulls will play against Raiffeisen Flyers Wels and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
