Rather predictable result when fourteenth ranked Skyliners (5-10) won against 17th ranked 46ers (3-12) in Giessen 90-79 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard Will Cherry (185-91, college: Montana) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 6 assists. Senegalese guard El Hadji Badio (188-99) accounted for 20 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Skyliners players scored in double figures. American-South Sudanese Nuni Omot (206-94, college: Baylor) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Kendale McCullum (194-96, college: Lewis) added 8 points and 7 assists respectively for 46ers in the defeat. 46ers' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Skyliners moved-up to thirteenth place. 46ers lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 12 games lost. Skyliners will meet at home bottom-ranked EWE Baskets (#18) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. 46ers will play against BG Goettingen and hope to secure a win.
