Bottom-ranked Samsun is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 15th consecutive match to twelfth ranked Urla (6-9) 68-45 on Sunday evening. Urla dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Samsun's 12. Urla forced 29 Samsun turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Dilek Topdemir (-92) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Avinar Kaya (-98) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Fatma Azakli (-0) came up with 7 points and 23 rebounds and Yilmaz Nurselin added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Samsun in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Urla moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Samsun lost their fifteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 15 games lost. Urla will meet league's second-placed Botas GA in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Samsun will play against Rize (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
