Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Bayreuth (6-7) defeated 16th ranked s Oliver Baskets (3-11) in Wuerzburg 88-80 on Sunday. Bayreuth looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Lithuanian center Martynas Sajus (208-96) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Terry Allen (203-93, college: Richmond) accounted for 18 points and 4 assists for the winning side. U.S. Virgin Islands forward Desi Rodriguez (198-96, college: Seton Hall) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds and Uruguayan guard Luciano Parodi (189-94) added 15 points and 7 assists respectively for s Oliver Baskets in the defeat. Five Bayreuth and four s Oliver Baskets players scored in double figures. Bayreuth moved-up to tenth place. s Oliver Baskets lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 11 games lost.
