Rather predictable result in Klaipeda where eleventh ranked Kretinga (8-15) beat bottom-ranked Neptunas-Akv. (4-18) 83-65 on Thursday. Kretinga looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for center Rytis Zabita (200-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Aidas Viskontas (184-86) helped adding 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Kretinga players scored in double figures. Center Oskaras Pleikys (202-1, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and Lukas Kreismontas (197-1) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Neptunas-Akv.'s coach Simonas Serapinas tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted Kretinga maintains eleventh place with 8-15 record. Neptunas-Akv. lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Kretinga will meet at home higher ranked Zalgiris II (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Neptunas-Akv. will play against Delikatesas (#13) in Joniskis and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
