Regular Season Round 16: Speyer - FC Bayern 2 79-74

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Bayern (2-13) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Speyer (7-7) 79-74 on Thursday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Speyer looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Darian Cardenas (199-95) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and American DJ Woodmore (190-92, college: VWU) who added 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Speyer players scored in double figures. At the losing side Sierra Leonean center Mohamed Sillah (204-2, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 12 points and 9 rebounds and guard Lenny Anigbata (195-4) scored 15 points. Bayern's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Speyer maintains seventh position in South with 7-7 record. Bayern lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 13 games lost. Speyer will meet Rackelos (#10) in the next round. Bayern will play against Koblenz and hope to secure a win.
