Regular Season Round 11: Towers - Future Team 89-68

There was a minor upset in Kufstein where their close opponent Future Team (0-8) was crushed by sixth ranked Towers (2-7) 89-68 on Friday. Towers dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Future Team's 34. Towers forced 20 Future Team turnovers. It was a great evening for Slovenian point guard Luka Bozak (187-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 7 assists. Spanish forward Jose Ignacio Giraldez (200-97) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Towers players scored in double figures. Guard Jonathan Wess (192-3) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and William Emiohe (198-1) scored 18 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Towers maintains sixth place with 2-7 record which they share with defeated Future Team. Future Team lost their eighth game in a row. Future Team at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with eight games lost. Towers will meet Flames (#7) in the next round. Future Team will play against Alligators and hopes to get finally their first victory.
