Twelfth-ranked Turk Telekom (5-11) made lots of trouble for seventh ranked Tofas (9-7) in Bursa. Tofas managed to secure only two-point victory 95-93. However their fans expected much easier game. Tofas made 17-of-21 charity shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Turk Telekom turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Turk Telekom was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kasey Shepherd (189-94, college: La-Lafayette) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Mexican Francisco Cruz (191-89, college: Wyoming) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. Tofas' coach Hakan Demir allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American swingman Aubrey Dawkins (198-95, college: UCF, agency: Network Sports International) replied with 21 points and point guard Can Ugur Ogut (178-92) added 10 points and 11 assists in the effort for Turk Telekom. Five Tofas and four Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Tofas maintains seventh position with 9-7 record. Turk Telekom lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 11 games lost. Tofas will play against Buyukcekmece (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Turk Telekom will play against Afyon Bld and hopes to get back on the winning track.
