Rather predictable result when eighth ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (10-6) rolled over at home 10th ranked Bayreuth (7-8) 87-67 on Saturday. They outrebounded Bayreuth 43-24 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American guard Jonah Radebaugh (190-97, college: N.Colorado) who scored that evening 19 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import swingman Tremmell Darden (196-81, college: Niagara) supported him with 19 points. EnBW Ludwigsburg's coach John Patrick used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Terry Allen (203-93, college: Richmond) did not help to save the game for Bayreuth. Lithuanian center Martynas Sajus (208-96) added 14 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. EnBW Ludwigsburg moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Crailsheim. Loser Bayreuth keeps the tenth position with eight games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will meet bottom-ranked EWE Baskets (#18) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Bayreuth will play against ratiopharm Ulm (#5) and hope to secure a win.
