Everything could happen in Kaunas at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked LSU-Atletas and 7th ranked Vytis had identical 12-11 record. This time LSU-Atletas used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Sakiai 81-69 on Saturday night. LSU-Atletas looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by point guard Karolis Babkauskas (185-91, agency: BIG) who scored that evening 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Dominykas Bucas (203-99) supported him with 22 points and 6 rebounds. LSU-Atletas' coach Remigijus Bardauskas used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by point guard Paulius Semaska (185-93) did not help to save the game for Vytis. Aurelijus Pukelis (205-94) added 16 points and 11 rebounds. LSU-Atletas (13-11) moved-up to fifth place. Loser Vytis dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Vilkaviskis. LSU-Atletas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kaunas to the arena Zalgiris II.
