Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked SG Braunschweig (4-11) was edged at home by third ranked Westerstede (11-3) 66-63 on Saturday. It was a great evening for point guard Fritz Hemschemeier (182-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Felix Meyer-tonndorf (195) helped adding 14 points. The best for the losing side was Sananda Fru (208-3) with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Damjan Milutinovic (183-0) scored 15 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Westerstede keeps a position of North leader. Newly promoted SG Braunschweig keeps the thirteenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Bergedorf. Westerstede will meet Wolfenbuettel (#12) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. SG Braunschweig will play against Bramsche and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
