Regular Season Round 15: Loewen - Dorsten 86-63

Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Dorsten (3-12) was outplayed on the road by eleventh ranked Hertener Loewen (7-8) 86-63 on Saturday. Hertener Loewen forced 19 Dorsten turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Adam Pickett (185-94, college: Winthrop) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Tim Severing helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Tyler Brevard (189-98, college: Lander) with 19 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Albanian point guard Nderim Pelaj (182-88) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hertener Loewen moved-up to ninth place in West, which they share with Hamm. Dorsten lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Grevenbroich. Hertener Loewen will meet Hagen-Haspe (#11) on the road in the next round. Dorsten will play against Hagen BG and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
