Leader Seawolves delivered the fourteenth victory. This time they beat 14th ranked SparkassenStars (6-11) 91-74 in Rostock. Seawolves made 29-of-36 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Seawolves outrebounded SparkassenStars 47-28 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by SparkassenStars' players. SparkassenStars were plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Till Gloger (204-93, college: Maine) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Brazilian power forward Gabriel De Oliveira (206-98) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Seawolves players scored in double figures. American forward Dominic Green (198-97, college: Washington) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Tony Hicks (186-94, college: Louisville, agency: GoEmpire Group) added 17 points and 4 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) in the effort for SparkassenStars. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Seawolves maintains first position with 14-3 record, which they share with Jena. Newly promoted SparkassenStars keep the fourteenth place with 11 games lost. Seawolves will play against Gladiators (#10) in Trier in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SparkassenStars will play at home against Schwenningen (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
